Jeffrey Herlings of the Red Bull KTM Factory team has won the penultimate round of the British Championship at Schoolhouse. Herlings managed to win both motos and thus strengthened his leading position in the championship.
Herlings started the day strongly by setting the fastest time on the clock in time practice. However, a bad start in the first moto meant he had a lot of work to do to get back to the front. Herlings managed to work his way back up to second place and attacked the leader in the final stages. With a nice overtaking maneuver he took over the first place and won the moto.
The second moto was completely different. Herlings managed to take the lead and immediately set a high pace. Throughout the race, he built up a safe lead and won the moto.
With a double moto victory, Jeffrey won the day’s classification and increased his lead in the championship standings. This weekend Herlings will be racing in the Turkish Grand Prix!
